The deck is immediately put back into its case, which is then sealed with a sticker signed by the spectator. The spectator can examine and handle the case: they can shake it, confirm the deck is inside, and verify that the sticker truly seals it shut.
Everything is perfectly clean. The sealed case is then slipped into your jacket pocket. You ask the spectator how long it would take you to remove the sticker, take out the deck, find the right card, remove it from the deck, put the cards back in the case, and seal it again.

And yet, you show your hand empty, simply bring it near your pocket, and ask the spectator to start counting. And the deck is still sealed inside! But the experience doesn't end there. Take the case out of your pocket again and hand it to the spectator. The sticker is still in place.
