Description

Name Dropper by John Graham and Vanishing Inc. delivers a powerful one-two punch of card magic and mentalism. Not only do you reveal a freely selected card, but you also divine the name of someone special thought of by the spectator.

The trick begins with a small packet of red-backed cards bearing mysterious markings. You place them under the card box, which remains in view throughout. A card is chosen from a blue deck, and the spectator thinks of someone meaningful to them. You reveal the card—and that’s just the beginning.

Attention shifts back to the red cards. One by one, as you deal them down, the abstract markings reveal letters. The name the spectator thought of is spelled out right in front of them. It’s an emotional and impossible climax they’ll never forget.

Inspired by Paul Harris’s classic Deep Astonishment (and released with his blessing), Name Dropper has been refined for real-world performers, especially close-up magicians and table-hoppers.
