Akronym + IMF (Yves Doumergue)

Akronym + IMF - yves doumergue

Description

Impromptu, reliable, and phenomenal.

Imagine this: a spectator, Jade, rolls an imaginary die, and decides that the result is 3. Then, with her phone, she consults any Wikipedia article out of millions, for example The Beatles. She sees that there are links to other pages, in this case Liverpool, Rock, John Lennon, Album, etc... Then, she clicks on a link to navigate randomly from page to page; all her choices are noted down gradually. For example:
MAJORITY
STATISTICS
RADIO
SPECIES
The magician then circles the 3rd letter of each word, to reveal
JADE.

Key Points:
● This is not an app!
There is nothing to download, secretly install, or update.

● Completely original effect.
Your spectators have never seen a similar effect, which allows you to stand out from other mentalists who mostly perform mind-reading.

● The phone is borrowed.
You can perform it in any circumstances, it only requires a spectator to have a phone with an internet connection.

● You have nothing to hide.
Akronym is natural and fluid to perform. All actions are performed in front of the spectators. You never have to hide the phone screen, no NFC tag, QR code, or strange URL to secretly type. The spectator will suspect absolutely nothing.

● Nothing in your pockets, 7-minute routine.
You don't have to carry anything with you, not even your own mobile phone. Whether you're in close-up, on stage, or in a situation where you didn't even plan to perform something, you have a 7-minute routine at your disposal.

NOTE: Currently works in English, Spanish, Italian, German, and French. Broadcasting rights not included.

Akronym quotes
“I love it!” - Christian Grace

“That is literally incredible!” - Lloyd Barnes

“That is sick. I love it!” - Peter Turner

“Akronym checks all the boxes for me - practical, versatile, and devastating.” - Doug McKenzie

“Wait! What!? How!?! Sooooooooo good! I was totally fooled by the performance and I’m equally stunned by the method. 11 out of 10.” - Mark Elsdon

Imagine you've got nothing on you, not even your cell phone, and you want to present an effect: instead of a quick trick, Akronym lets you perform a real routine.
You're a close-up performer and you want an impactful and personal effect, that's comfortable to present, and requires no pocket space: Akronym will immediately find its place in your repertoire!
If you're on stage in front of a large corporate audience and want a personalized revelation of the company's name: Akronym is ideal.

NOTE: Currently works in English, Spanish, Italian, German, and French. Broadcasting rights not included.

IMF Description:

If you want to predict the final word, here is how the routine plays out using IMF (requires the Multi-Out Index):

You begin the routine by placing a prediction on the table.

"In a moment, Jade, you’re going to choose words from Wikipedia. The most important one will be the fifth and final word you pick."

Using Akronym, the first four words chosen are:

  • MAJORITY
  • STATISTICS
  • RADIO
  • FREQUENCY

"Now, choose a final word—but whatever you do, don't tell me what you're clicking on."

Jade secretly selects a word—for example, "Ancient Greece." You unfold the paper that has been sitting on the table the whole time: "Ancient Greece."

The audience is already stunned by this reveal—and they aren't expecting the devastating final kicker: the Akronym reveal, now with tenfold the impact.

Highlights

  • No peeking: you still don't need your phone.
  • You don't need to ask for the first letter of the thought-of word.
  • For the mind-reading phase, you need absolutely nothing on your person.
  • Placing a prediction at the start gives the routine direction; spectators understand why you are navigating from page to page on Wikipedia.

What you receive:

A unique code to use in your personal Akronym settings to activate the feature.
