Tony Binarelli developed this effect more than 30 years ago and refined it to perfection. In collaboration with Card-Shark and produced in Parlour Size cards, this effect can be performed Close-Up as well as on Stage.
The sudden appearance of a filled champagne glass is a completely baffling effect. There's a downside though; it can be a pain to carry the hidden glass without spilling the liquid, or somehow covering up the top of the glass.
